Do you want to work with public authority and are you interested in the elderly target group? The Northern Inner City is undergoing a transformation towards the future social services with a focus on accessibility, evidence-based practices, and the needs of the residents.

The Elderly Assistance Assessment is responsible for public authority according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. We investigate, decide, order, and follow up on services for our target group. The Elderly Assistance Assessment is already planning and working today to meet the residents' demands for the new social services, and for this reason, we are looking for new colleagues for our forward-driven operations. The area is led by an area manager and includes four units within the area of elderly assistance assessment, which together consists of 81 dedicated employees. In the group, we help and support each other during peak workloads, share knowledge, and our joy at work.

Your role

As a case officer for assistance, you are responsible for investigating needs, assessing, deciding, and following up on services according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. Follow-up of approved services, implementation, and costs are part of the case management. The work consists largely of documentation and meetings with others, and therefore places great demands on good communication in both speech and writing.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work
• Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and case law.
• Previous experience in assistance assessment through public authority within elderly care or LSS.
• Good proficiency in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of the City of Stockholm's guidelines within elderly care.
• Experience working with assistance assessment within the City of Stockholm.
• Practical experience and knowledge of the documentation systems Paraply and Life Care.

We need you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Within assistance assessment, you will make many decisions, and we are looking for someone who makes decisions judiciously and acts on them despite limited information, time pressure, or difficult circumstances. As a person, you are structured with a good ability to organize and prioritize your work effectively. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, always with the individual in focus. To succeed in the role of public authority, it is important that you are professional in your role and can distinguish between the personal and the professional, as well as being secure, stable, and self-aware.
