Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 260 billion SEK each year. It is everyone’s tax money that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we take the time to understand each case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
Our workplace is characterized by collaboration, helpfulness, and a good working environment. We have high competence with an unpretentious and trusting culture. As an employee with us, you have the opportunity to combine office work with flexible hours and remote work.
Case Management, Customer Contact, and Teamwork
As a claims officer, you have an important mission: to help citizens so that the right person receives the right compensation at the right time. You provide individuals with the conditions to have an overview and feel secure in all contacts with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Each individual has a unique situation that needs to be met based on their specific needs. In your work, you are responsible for conducting investigations based on applicable regulations. You calculate and, where applicable, make decisions regarding compensation. You have daily contact with applicants and insured individuals primarily via phone but also in writing. Part of your job involves answering incoming calls where you identify needs and provide general and specific information. Your work also includes informing and supporting our self-service solutions. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.
Within parental insurance, you will process parental benefits, temporary parental benefits, and determine which income the compensation is based on. The processing takes place in an automated system as the application process often occurs via the web. Through the system, cases that need to be supplemented or further processed before a decision are assigned. Your processing may depend on external actors such as employers, schools, and authorities. The work is performed independently with the support of active teamwork.
The position involves being scheduled in customer service to some extent. Here, you will answer questions and process cases from calling customers.
