Archivist at the Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must)

About the Unit

You will be part of Must's office for operational support and the Department of Communication and Coordination, where the archive function is located. The archive function employs archivists and the coordinator for disclosure cases and confidentiality reviews.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of archivist, you will be part of a team responsible for the archive service, working with both physical and digital documents. Your tasks include caring for, organizing, and cataloging the archive holdings. Responsibilities also include developing and revising plans, descriptions, routines, and other governing documents, preservation and disposal investigations, as well as planning and following up on the unit's goals. You will participate in development work within the information management area and take part in the Swedish Armed Forces' digital development. As an archivist at Must, you will serve as expert support to the organization, coordinate subject matters, and educate and inform on archive and document management issues. You may also work with disclosure cases and confidentiality reviews as needed.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in a relevant field, including at least 60 ECTS in archival science
  • Several years of professional experience as an archivist
  • Documented experience in development work within the field of archive and document management
  • A well-developed communicative ability in both spoken and written Swedish and English

Meritorious

  • Good knowledge of public administration
  • Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces' operations
  • Experience handling information subject to confidentiality
  • Experience in educational activities
  • Experience in digital archive/development work in areas such as e-archives and document and case management systems
  • Experience handling disclosure cases

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and has a good sense of order. You possess a good ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver your tasks within deadlines, even under shorter timeframes. You have a strong initiative and are solution- and improvement-focused, with the ability to see long-term consequences. As a person, you are also positive, unpretentious, and flexible, and you easily create contacts, collaborate, and build relationships with others. Since the work involves handling security-classified information, you must also be responsible, have a consistently high security awareness, and high integrity.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The above qualifications must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date: By agreement. Work location: Stockholm. Travel in service may occur.
