About us

The health center in Mellerud has approximately 8,000 registered patients.

We are a well-functioning unit staffed with doctors, district nurses, specialist nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. We also have a strong mental health team consisting of psychologists and PTP psychologists. Under the same roof, we have a rehabilitation clinic and dental care with which we collaborate closely. We also have a child health clinic located at the family center.

About the job

Your tasks at BVC are varied, where you follow children with guardians from newborn until school health care takes over. You play a central role in meeting families' needs, making medical and nursing assessments and priorities. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

You will work with health checks, vaccinations, and parent groups. The patient group consists of children aged 0-6 years with their families. Collaboration occurs in interdisciplinary teams at the health center, and cooperation also takes place with external care providers such as preschools, schools, family centers, and specialist healthcare. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also part of your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse or district nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working with children and youth and/or have mentoring training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome you as a new graduate.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and willing to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and that it is natural for you to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We would like you to have an interest in digitalization and business development.

The position primarily involves working at BVC but also at the health center. Travel in the job is required, and a B driver's license is necessary.

About the recruitment process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
