Insurance Investigator at the Social Insurance Agency

Every year, the Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 260 billion kronor each year. These are everyone's tax funds that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we take the time to understand each case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Social Insurance Agency.

Do you want to contribute to a secure and efficient processing process? Are you a person who values good service and has the ability to independently plan and drive your work forward? Then this may be the right position for you!

With us, the customer is always in focus, and we are now looking for someone who is motivated to work at a fast pace in a goal-oriented organization. We prioritize high job satisfaction for all employees, and you will be part of a team where you independently make legally secure decisions and contribute to our common mission. Our workplace is characterized by collaboration, helpfulness, and a good working environment. Here you will meet colleagues with high competence and a humble culture marked by trust and commitment.

Investigations, Decision-Making, and Teamwork

As an insurance investigator, you have an important mission: to help citizens so that the right person receives the right compensation at the right time. You provide individuals with the conditions to have an overview and feel secure in all contacts with the Social Insurance Agency. Contact occurs via phone and in writing. In your work, you conduct qualified investigations and then make decisions. Each individual has a unique situation that needs to be addressed based on their specific needs. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

When you work with EU family benefits, you handle cases concerning families where at least one of the parents works and/or lives in another EU country. Within the EU, there is a regulatory framework for coordinating member states' rules on social security, which facilitates the free movement of people. You handle and decide on EU family benefits within parental insurance. Since you apply both EU legislation and national legislation, you must know which regulatory framework takes precedence in a person's specific case. In your work, you will have contact with, among others, Swedish and foreign authorities.

This is a job for you who want to take responsibility.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
  • is stable and trustworthy
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for results with high quality
  • has a systematic and meticulous working method
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • has good communication skills
  • is computer literate.

It is an advantage if you

  • have prior knowledge of parental insurance
  • have worked with investigations and made decisions that have affected individuals
  • have experience with customer contact via phone
  • have good ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
  • have knowledge of another EU language.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.
