Do you want to be part of developing Chalmers' education and make a difference for future engineers during their studies? We are looking for an engineer with both subject matter and administrative competence.
Information about the department
The Student and Education Department consists of 4 units: Student Support, Educational Support, Study and System Administration, and Admissions and Examinations. We have about 100 employees and are located at Campus Johanneberg and Campus Lindholmen. The department's mission is to provide professional support to students, educational management, and institutions in educational matters. The Educational Support unit is now seeking a Program Director/Education Secretary for primary work with bachelor's and master's programs and for developing the administrative systems that support educational activities.
Job Description
You will work as a program director for several programs, a position we call education secretary. You will be part of the program management for the educational programs you work with and drive their development with a focus on quality and structure. You will collaborate closely with the other education secretaries in the unit and have clear areas of responsibility throughout the academic year. At the same time, you will be part of various teams that develop the unit's working methods and support for program managers, master's program managers, and students. Your assignment also includes working with and further developing the digital systems that support educational activities and analyzing and developing administrative processes with a focus on efficiency and digitization.

Your role includes:
- development of educational and program plans
- work with quality issues for the programs, including course evaluations
- assessments and decisions, e.g., credit transfers and exemptions
- information about master's choices, course selections, etc.
- contact with students, including planning for exchange studies
- further developing the digital systems that support educational activities
- developing administrative processes with a focus on efficiency and digitization
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- is an engineer with an academic degree of at least 3 years, preferably in computer science/IT
- has a good ability to express themselves verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English
- has knowledge of the development of digital systems from a process perspective
- has a genuine interest in how IT can support and streamline educational activities
It is advantageous if you:
- have qualified work experience, from university/college as well as from the private sector
As a person, we believe you are meticulous and have a structured working method. You are analytical, clear, and communicative. Furthermore, we see that you are both technically and administratively competent and interested in development work. You enjoy working independently as well as in teams and are eager to take your own initiatives.
