About the job

We are looking for someone who wants to continue improving and developing our preparedness work within the Road and Railway department. The safety function within the department's staff will be your platform.

The work involves broad collaboration within the department with employees and managers as well as with other departments. You will, among other things, participate in department-wide forums led by the Safety and Preparedness Office, thereby contributing to the development of the area within the authority. We expect you to be able to work independently as well as be a team player.

You will have a great opportunity to influence work methods and your own role and actively participate with your expertise alongside others in the safety function.

You will

• work both strategically and operationally with preparedness-related issues
• coordinate and develop the department's preparedness work together with other colleagues within the safety function
• coordinate work around continuity management, risk and vulnerability analysis, and preparedness plans
• participate in the department's crisis staff
• handle referrals and the development of instructions
• work in various networks, groups, and forums both internally and externally.

You must have

• an academic degree of at least 180 credits at the university level in risk and crisis management, security and civil defense, urban planning, social sciences, or political science, or another academic degree that we assess as equivalent
• a strong interest in security and societal issues
• good knowledge of the Office suite
• the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you also have

• completed training in crisis preparedness, security protection, or total defense through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF), the Swedish Defence University, or similar
• current experience of similar tasks
• experience or knowledge of interpreting legislation
• experience in leading workshops.

The employment is permanent with placement in Borlänge. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the business and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be carried out. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
