Make a Difference. Every Day.
Are you striving to become a business-oriented and operational contract controller who wants to be part of the transformation required within Region Skåne? Are you also motivated by making a societal impact and influencing the strategic contract management within IT, Medical Technology (MT), and digitalization? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
The Digitalization IT and MT administration is Region Skåne's digitalization partner with the mission to implement a modern and cohesive digital healthcare environment while managing and effectively consolidating today's existing IT environment. We are now looking for a contract controller within the application area (VO) where healthcare, support, and MT systems are managed. As a contract controller, you will ensure that the administration's contracts and supplier relationships support and enhance the overall goals and strategies of the organization.
With a focus on accessibility, stability, and real benefits for the residents of Skåne, we are moving forward where contract management is a prerequisite for our future and current mission.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a business-oriented contract controller with a focus on healthcare and support systems. Healthcare systems are generally defined as systems that manage patient information, such as an electronic health record system. Typical support systems include finance, HR, or property systems.
As a contract controller, you play a crucial role in effectively managing and optimizing contracts with external suppliers. The ambition is to ensure that our administration, and by extension Region Skåne, receives optimal value from its suppliers and that supplier performance aligns with needs and goals.
The work includes supplier management, supplier meetings, contract interpretation, and contract follow-up. You will participate in procurements as needed and ensure that the contract content meets the end-users' wishes and supports the roles responsible for managing the applications. Furthermore, you will work with ongoing contract management and planning where you implement strategies for managing suppliers that align with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
Your role will also include being responsible for contract follow-up and negotiations in collaboration with operational managers and the purchasing function, participating in supplier meetings, handling escalated issues including penalties and damages, and working with contract matters such as amendments, additions, and call-offs. Additionally, you will be responsible for registering and archiving contracts in the contract database and providing advisory support in contract-related matters.
Within the Digitalization IT and MT administration, there is currently a contract strategist working alongside five contract controllers who are continuously developing and improving our contractual relationships with our suppliers. In the unit where this position is located, there are currently eleven employees, including two experienced contract controllers who share the workload and support each other. You will gradually be assigned responsibilities as part of your introduction, and there are good opportunities for development in the role. In this role, you will report to the unit manager for support functions in VO applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the position, you must have basic knowledge of contracts and supplier management, preferably with several years of experience in the field, and wish to continue developing your business acumen with us. You should have a relevant higher education degree in economics, purchasing, public procurement, or other education/experience that we consider equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and are confident in formulating professionally and can adapt the tone according to the context, for example in contract texts, service letters, or decision documents.
We consider it an advantage if you have worked with contract or supplier management within IT and/or in the public sector.
As a person, you possess the will, drive, and commitment required to contribute to the changes that the administration wants to implement. You have good communication skills, find it easy to build good relationships both externally and internally, and feel confident in a negotiation situation. Additionally, you easily share knowledge with your colleagues and see yourself as part of a team.
Other qualities we consider important are that you have both structure and flexibility, as well as a clear working method with an understanding of both your own operations and those outside your own assignment. You are a good analyst who, together with your colleagues, can take a step back and see the bigger picture, thus making wise trade-offs in complex issues and situations.
We expect that you, just like us, share Region Skåne's values: welcoming, driving, caring, and respectful, and lead accordingly. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today! We look forward to getting to know you.
