Are you an operating room nurse looking for a secure workplace with fantastic colleagues? Do you want to help develop our operations together with us? Are you longing for a workplace with short decision-making paths where you can truly make an impact? Then we are the right hospital for you!
Hear our managers talk about what it’s like to work in central operations!
About our operating departmentWe are one of the few anesthetic clinics that have anesthesia, surgery, postoperative care, sterilization technology, and ICU within the same operational area. Capio S:t Görans Hospital also has Stockholm's newest maternity clinic.
High quality is our top priority, and we are of course keen that patients receive the best possible care and a good experience. We are now continuing our investment in developing and creating a top-class central operation.
The anesthetic clinic conducts both elective and emergency surgery around the clock. Central operations include surgery, orthopedics, urology, and obstetrics. We staff a total of 15 operating rooms, of which two are for emergency and elective cesarean sections. This gives us a unique opportunity to deepen and broaden our knowledge and develop in several areas. We also have the opportunity to work across departments, mainly during on-call hours.
About the roleOn the operating side, we now work in two sections: surgery/obstetrics and orthopedics. We are looking for someone who wants to work in one of these sections, or both.
The work includes standard tasks within each surgical operation.
The team around the patient includes, in addition to the operating room nurse, a nursing assistant or another operating room nurse, an anesthetic nurse, and a doctor. We actively work with continuous flow work in teams, in close collaboration with other professional groups. It is important for us to be a workplace where we learn from each other.
Of course, you will be offered an individual onboarding. We continuously work on professional development in surgical nursing through both internal and external training.
Working hours: Three shifts, mainly daytime.
QualificationsWe are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training in surgical nursing. We prefer that you have several years of experience in the profession.
For the surgical section, longer experience and broad competence are meritorious, as well as experience in robotic surgery and obstetric care.
For the orthopedic section, competence in prosthetic surgery and revision surgery is meritorious, as well as longer professional experience.
We place great importance on personal suitability and value diversity.
Personal qualitiesWe are looking for someone who is interested in trying new ways of working and wants to contribute their own ideas. You share our values, are secure in your professional role, have good collaboration skills, and a positive and unpretentious attitude.
We also see that you are structured and have a good ability to plan your work, while being able to quickly prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances.
We offer you among other thingsWith us, you work in a workplace in the city center with good communications, staff parking/garage, and plenty of bicycle parking, as well as the possibility of staff housing. We offer a varied role in a developing, learning, and knowledge-sharing environment where we actively work on improvement efforts.
You work closely with other professional groups and are given good opportunities for personal development. Here there is present, clear, and responsive leadership.
