We are looking for a speech therapist who is interested in working with the assessment and treatment of children's speech and language as well as reading and writing difficulties.

The Speech Therapy Clinic has several locations in northern Stockholm. The clinic in Lidingö is located in the same premises as the BVC and MVC, and there are two speech therapists at the clinic. As a speech therapist with us, you will have ample opportunities for internal training in the form of subject-specific meetings and development days, and in addition, you have access to the clinic's other staff and their expertise.

Job Description

Your main tasks are:

• Independent assessment and planning and execution of treatment for children and adolescents with speech and language difficulties.
• Independent assessment of students with reading and writing difficulties.
• Collaboration with referrers, healthcare providers within child and school health care, other investigative healthcare institutions, and actors within childcare and schools.
• Participation in networks and established collaboration forms.
• Record keeping and some booking.
• Collaboration with interpreters occurs.

Qualifications

Licensed speech therapist. Experience in clinic work or speech therapy work within educational activities is meritorious.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are structured, clear, positive, and curious about new working methods and techniques and want to participate in the clinic's development work. You have a high work capacity and are good at prioritizing. Furthermore, we believe that you have good collaboration skills and that you have a pedagogical approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

About the Operation

We work within the framework of the care choice Stockholm, hospital agreements, and language preschool agreements. In addition to the main clinic at Danderyd Hospital, the Speech Therapy Clinic has eight more clinics in nearby municipalities and operations within inpatient care at Danderyd Hospital and Södersjukhuset. The Speech Therapy Clinic has over 100 employees and encompasses most speech therapy specialties for children and adults. The operations are process-oriented and focus heavily on clinical development and research. The Speech Therapy Clinic is part of the Neurology Operations USV unit (University Hospital Unit). The clinic receives a large number of students from the country's speech therapy programs every year. We provide the professional development that each employee's assignment requires.
