Occupational Therapist to Habilitation Center Liljeholmen for Children
About us: Habilitation Center Liljeholmen is a specialist outpatient clinic that offers services to children aged 0-17 with permanent disabilities such as intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, and autism. The operation is conducted according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and complements other health and medical care. With us, you will work in an interesting and broad field in interdisciplinary teams consisting of occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, special educators, and speech therapists. Our clinic serves children living in the districts of Hägersten-Älvsjö, Skärholmen, and Södermalm. The premises are located at Liljeholmsvägen 14, a few minutes' walk from the subway and tram.
About the position: We are now looking for an occupational therapist for a full-time temporary position in our ASD team. The ASD team is a specialized team currently consisting of psychologists, social workers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists. The ASD team meets children with autism spectrum diagnoses with or without concurrent intellectual disabilities.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work on mapping the needs of children and families, prescribing assistive devices, assessing housing adaptations, and providing advice and support on how a disability can affect daily life. As part of the work, there will also be consultation and knowledge transfer to individuals in the client's immediate environment. The unit provides support both individually and in group or lecture form.
About you: We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with expertise in disabilities and experience working with children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric diagnoses. It is advantageous if you also have experience collaborating with healthcare, municipalities, and schools.
You should have experience working with cognitive support, sleep, and personal ADL. You should be comfortable leading group interventions for parents and children/adolescents. You can prescribe and introduce cognitive assistive devices.
Your work with us is characterized by variation and requires the ability to be flexible and proactive based on the patient's focus. You should have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You have a good ability to organize and structure your work and find it easy to meet the demands of documentation and written communication. We expect you to work based on scientifically proven methods and clinical experience. It is important that you are confident in your professional role and comfortable meeting people in crisis and grief. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Conditions/appointment: Permanent employment, 40-hour workweek, office hours.

- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements guide non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
