We at Attendo are now looking for a Silvia Nurse for Attendo Ljung in Värmdö. Attendo Ljung is a nursing home with 56 places and a day activity center for elderly people with a dementia diagnosis. We have been operating since 2009 under a contract with Värmdö municipality, and we have now entered into a new agreement from December 1, where we have included a Silvia Nurse or a nursing assistant with at least 2 years of work experience after completing specialist training in the care of people with dementia.

The operation has been Silvia home certified since 2022 and has a high customer satisfaction according to the Social Services Agency's user survey (2025). Employees enjoy their work, and our employee surveys show a high recommendation propensity for our workplace.

Job Description

We are now looking for you who are a Silvia Nurse through the Silviahemmet University or trained as a dementia-specialized nursing assistant through a vocational college. You therefore have solid specialist competence in dementia care and are responsible for guidance in evidence-based methods and individual adaptation in nursing. The role also includes preventive work against mental ill health, focusing on strengthening the individual's well-being and quality of life. Through individual conversations and discussion groups, early signs of loneliness, anxiety, and mental ill health are identified and countered.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Implement and follow up on the Dementia Compass, guide the facility's relatives' representatives, lead, plan, and follow up on BPSD work

• The Silvia Nurse is an important part of the facility's activity organization, which also includes activity coordinators, rehabilitation staff, activity representatives, and team leaders.

• The Silvia Nurse leads at least one specially adapted activity per week and actively works with reminiscence methodology, sensory stimulation, and social interaction to promote cognitive and emotional well-being.

• Personal care according to the facility's routines based on the customer's individual needs and wishes. Perform documentation and work based on decided interventions

• Collaborate with external and internal contacts such as guardians, relatives, residents, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

• Permanent position 100%. You will work 60% as a Silvia Nurse and 40% as a nursing assistant scheduled in the dementia departments.

• Working hours day/single evenings/every third weekend

• Start date is according to agreement

Qualifications

• Nursing assistant education of at least 1350 points.

• Professional certificate from the Social Services Agency or certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as a nursing assistant.

• You are a certified Silvia Nurse through the Silviahemmet University or trained as a dementia-specialized nursing assistant through a vocational college.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written)

• Good computer skills/computer familiarity
