At the dialysis unit, there are nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Hemodialysis accounts for the majority of the operations and shares premises with peritoneal dialysis and kidney outpatient clinics with their own outpatient nurses and doctors. Among the staff, there are also service employees hired so that the nursing staff can focus on patient care and nursing. The organization and premises provide us with short communication paths and close cooperation between professional categories.

Many of the employees have worked with dialysis for a long time, which means security, experience, and high competence in the workgroup. Each employee plays an important role in our workplace, which is characterized by openness, curiosity, and a generous attitude towards sharing experiences and skills. We believe that different perspectives, knowledge, and personalities enhance our reception and the care we can offer our patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will work with dialysis care, where your tasks include preparing and monitoring dialysis machines, performing hemodialysis treatments, providing nursing, medical care, and patient education.

We can treat 23 patients simultaneously with hemodialysis. The patients are divided into two groups, where one group receives dialysis on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the other on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The nurses always work in pairs or groups of three based on the number of patients for the day. We also provide self-dialysis and acute dialysis.

All colleagues have their own areas of responsibility to ensure that the organization's goals are met and to promote personal development for each employee. As a nurse, you also have a specific nursing responsibility for a few patients in a role called dialysis nursing responsible nurse.

We offer you, who have not previously worked with dialysis, an introduction from experienced mentors for about two months before obtaining the dialysis license. After that, your competency development in the field continues, both practically and theoretically. Here, you also have the opportunity for specialization in nephrology through a university course in nephrology worth 15 credits. If you are new to the profession, you can also participate in Region Skåne's clinical foundation year. We want you to feel that you receive guidance and security in your professional development.

The working hours are weekdays during the day from 07:00 to 16:00, with shifts every other Saturday from 07:00 to 15:00.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish must at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

As a person, you have a positive attitude, good collaboration skills, and a good approach. You also have the drive and willingness to be involved in the ongoing improvement and quality work of the organization. It is important for us that you have a clear commitment to your profession, an empathetic approach, and the ability to actively contribute to our good care quality and cheerful atmosphere in the team. Furthermore, you are resourceful and can easily absorb and share knowledge. We are keen to find the right person and will therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.
