Teacher for the Vehicle and Transport Program – 100 %

Your mission

Alingsås Vocational Gymnasium is now seeking an engaged and certified teacher for the Vehicle and Transport Program.

You will teach students in vehicle subjects at the upper secondary level and be responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching in accordance with applicable regulations. The assignment also includes assessment and grading.

The teaching combines theory and practical work in a workshop environment. You are responsible for creating a safe, structured, and industry-relevant learning environment where safety, quality, and industry requirements are a natural part of the teaching.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in both vocational subjects and common upper secondary subjects. Mentorship and other common tasks may be included in the position, similar to other teachers at the school.

About the school

Alingsås Vocational Gymnasium is a growing school with about 100 students in the programs Hairdressing and Vehicle and Transport. We offer vocational training where theory and practice are combined – both at school and in workplaces (APL).

Our teaching is characterized by proximity, flexibility, and practical learning. The collegial collaboration is strong, and we work closely together between vocational subjects and common upper secondary subjects. Here, you will meet students with a vocational focus, drive, and varying educational backgrounds.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified vocational teacher in vehicle and transport (or has ongoing vocational teacher training)
• has relevant professional experience in the automotive industry
• has good knowledge of the industry's requirements and developments
• is confident, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership
• has the ability to combine structure with flexibility in teaching
• shares the school's values and wants to work closely with students

Meritorious:

• experience of teaching at the upper secondary level
• qualifications in several areas of the vehicle field
• experience working with APL and industry collaboration
