Ätradal School is a secondary school with around 260 students in grades 7-9 located in Timmele in the northern area of Ulricehamn municipality. Each grade is divided into four parallel classes. The school consists of a larger single-story building and a sports hall. The school has a staffed library, a cafeteria with catering staff who prepare all meals served at the school, a staffed break room/cafeteria where students can be during breaks, and a staffed maintenance department.

There are three work teams at the school, each linked to a grade but also collaborating across all students attending the school. Each work team has a team leader who is also part of the school's management group together with the principal and school administrator. At the school, we actively work to develop our students' reading and writing skills and strive for increased school attendance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and certified Spanish teacher for a part-time position. The position can preferably be combined with teaching in another subject, preferably Swedish, thus encompassing a full-time position (100%).

As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with applicable regulations. You are involved in developing the teaching and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development work. You work to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment where teaching is adapted to the students' different needs and conditions. We place great importance on broadening the content and methods of teaching to promote all students' learning and participation. Depending on the degree of employment, the position may also include mentorship and pedagogical responsibility for a class.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Spanish at the secondary level. Qualification in additional subjects is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have previous experience teaching at the secondary level.

In your work, you demonstrate good collaboration skills by listening, communicating, and handling any conflicts constructively. You are driven by seeing students develop and reach their goals, and you have a strong commitment to meeting each student according to their individual needs and conditions. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and in a structured manner. Both as a person and in your professional role, you are calm, secure, and stable. You have the ability to create and maintain professional relationships and can distinguish between the personal and the professional in your role as a teacher.
