Berghemskolan is a municipal primary school for grades F - 6 with approximately 330 students located in Jakobsberg, Järfälla Municipality. The school is characterized by a positive and safe environment with dedicated staff and good goal fulfillment among our students. We actively work to have a school, after-school center, and leisure club where both students and educators thrive and feel safe. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged and knowledgeable special educator with expertise in supporting students with special needs? Do you have a positive view of students and are passionate about creating good conditions for every student to succeed and develop as far as possible both academically and socially? Do you set boundaries and can be clear without creating conflicts? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

As a special educator with us, you will work closely with students, educators, and school management to create the best conditions for each student's learning and development.

The unit continuously works with school development issues and to develop our pedagogy based on research and proven experience. You will be part of the school's student health team and contribute to the promoting, preventive, and remedial work for students' development and learning.

You are well acquainted with governing documents and with planning and implementing good teaching for students' highest goal fulfillment.

You are familiar with conducting pedagogical investigations and analyzing needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

You have experience in designing and participating in the work around action programs in collaboration with relevant professionals.

Plan and implement special educational interventions at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Conduct assessments, evaluations, and follow-ups.

Support and guide teachers in their work with adaptations and additional adaptations.

You have a good ability to create supportive relationships, teach students, and guide educators.

You will systematically work with the student health team to create an accessible learning environment for all students at the school. The student health team includes special educators, school nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, and principals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed special educator with several years of experience working in lower and/or middle school. For the position, you must:

• Be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Be knowledgeable in documentation and investigation work and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.
• Have a great ability to create good and sustainable relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Be self-assured and have the ability to handle various situations and people. You communicate with others in a respectful, attentive, and clear manner.
• Have experience, good knowledge, and a large toolbox regarding interventions based on individual students' and groups' varying support needs.
• It is also advantageous to have a special education degree or such experience.
