JOB DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for an engaged and driven foster care secretary who wants to help us maintain the high quality of the important work within foster care in our municipality.
You will be part of a team that currently consists of four foster care secretaries and seven child welfare secretaries. If you work with us, you will be part of a cheerful group that is also knowledgeable and innovative. The group is solution-focused and takes care of each other and the contractors we work with. We are located in the same building as our reception, our child and youth investigators, team leaders, and unit manager. This means close proximity to management and colleagues.
In the role of foster care secretary, you will be responsible for recruiting, investigating, matching, and continuously supporting and guiding foster homes and emergency homes. Contact persons and contact families are also investigated by us. In the work with the foster homes, you will collaborate with the child's social worker and other actors around the child.
We strive to work together based on the best interests of the child and work as a team together with the child, biological network, and foster home.
You should have good linguistic and analytical skills. You will handle contracts and current compensation for the families. Our foster homes are spread out, which means travel is required. Many foster homes have pets, so it is good to be prepared for that as home visits are part of the job. The tasks are sometimes of an urgent nature, so you need to be flexible, creative, and enjoy solving problems. Work outside of office hours may occur.
