We are now looking for substitutes for our HVB for families. We need extra staff both day and night, so there are opportunities to choose what suits you best!

About Ellagård

At Ellagård, we work with investigation and treatment for families with children up to 16 years old. We address issues related to attachment, care, trauma, domestic violence, and neuropsychiatric difficulties – always with the child's perspective in focus. Ellagård has 34 places and we offer round-the-clock care with staffing available 24/7. Families reside in their own room or apartment with self-catering. The accommodation has common areas and a dining room where families are served home-cooked meals. We have a large garden with plenty of space for play and fun. The work team consists of a unit manager, coordinator, family therapist, investigation leader, method responsible, and a health and medical care team.

About the role

As a substitute, you will meet families based on their specific situation. The work involves supporting, helping, and providing security to parents and children in a home for care and accommodation (HVB). We work according to the social services' assignment according to BBIC with each child placed with us.

The work is varied, and no day is the same. Primarily, the work is performed at the accommodation during the placement period, but you may also be involved as support during leisure time, accompany families to school, child health centers, and during visits with family and networks. Tasks may include everything from meeting children in crisis and helping them in the moment, to cooking, driving, performing observations, reinforcing parental skills, and carrying out documentation. Night work involves creating a safe, secure, and caring environment for our families and contributing to maintaining safety according to routines. It also includes cleaning of common areas, preparing tasks for day staff, and documentation in your duties.

We need substitutes who can work days, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call or awake night shifts.

About you

We are primarily looking for those studying to become treatment pedagogues, social pedagogues, or who have completed at least 4 semesters of the social work program. However, we also seek those with at least two years of experience working in HVB. Experience with our target group, i.e., families, is an advantage.

You have a strong commitment to vulnerable groups and a great understanding of people with different backgrounds. To thrive in this role, you need to be secure in yourself, have good collaboration skills, and also have a good ability to build relationships. It is also beneficial if you are both risk-aware and solution-focused since the work sometimes involves a challenging psychosocial work environment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who, like us, wants to work towards a positive and collegial work climate.

Your knowledge of Swedish and English is good. Additional language skills are an advantage, as are skills in social documentation. We expect you to be computer literate. A driver's license for a passenger car (B) is a requirement.
