Job Description

As the Fire Safety Officer at Region Properties, you will be responsible for fire safety in Region Östergötland's premises. This includes technical fire safety, fire and evacuation alarms, as well as systematic fire safety work and handling of flammable materials. The work is carried out in management, operations, and construction production and requires close collaboration with several employees within Region Properties.

An important part of the role is to create guidelines, tools, and methods so that Region Östergötland's operations and contractors receive sufficient support in their fire safety work. This also includes implementing these by educating, informing, controlling, and following up.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Developing requirements in technical guidelines and technical specifications for premises and buildings
• Monitoring the commitments of the contracted property management contractor regarding systematic fire safety work and handling of flammable materials
• Developing operational routines and implementing them together with the operations controller at the contracted property management contractor
• Being the contact person and expert regarding fire safety, which involves communication both within Region Properties, with operational contractors and construction projects, as well as with the functions and authorities that are directly and indirectly affected by compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Prioritizing and strategically planning the exchange and maintenance of fire safety, coordinated with Region Properties' maintenance manager and property managers.

Work Group

You will be part of a technical group with specialists in various disciplines. The assignment is carried out in close collaboration with several employees both within and outside the unit at Region Properties, as the role's mission concerns management, operations, and construction production.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained fire engineer with a few years of experience in the field. It is advantageous if you have completed the Qualified Engineer SBF110 training or have education and experience that is deemed equivalent.

To be successful in this position, you need to have experience in preventive work related to fire and technical fire safety. Experience in preventive work related to fire and technical fire safety and working in or with large organizations is also advantageous. Experience with regulatory enforcement and working in complex properties, preferably hospitals, is a plus.

You have good competence regarding handling, storage, technical design, and permitting of flammable materials and good knowledge of the regulations concerning Hot Work.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
