Our new employees (women or men) that we intend to hire during the year 2026 should have a normal physique and swimming ability, as well as the ambition to maintain this. Furthermore, one should be mentally strong, stable, enduring, humble, and reliable, and be able to work both in groups and individually.

Introductory training will be conducted in weeks 16-17.

Job Responsibilities:

Emergency service to have standby as a firefighter alongside regular work in the main employment, with the obligation to be able to report for duty within 5 minutes at the fire station in Boxholm. Training/education occurs continuously, approximately 50 hours per year, both in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Formal Requirements:

• It is a requirement to have housing or work in the town of Boxholm.
• You must have your main employer's permission to work as a part-time firefighter.
• Meet physical/medical requirements for smoke divers.
• You must have good vision with glasses/contacts, color vision, and hearing.
• B driver's license.

Meritorious:

• C driver's license.

Applicants deemed suitable will be invited for an interview and test where suitability for the profession will be assessed. Salary according to the Rib agreement. Start date by agreement.

The employment begins with an introductory training over a couple of weeks in the fall. You also have the opportunity to register for the Grib course, which is a training for part-time firefighters conducted by the MSB authority within 1-2 years.
