You will work in the Department of Business and Supply Management, which is part of the Armed Forces Headquarters. We work, among other things, to direct and focus the work with the Armed Forces' supply flows and to lead, direct, and follow up the Armed Forces' business operations (procurement and purchasing, sales, and rental), at all levels of preparedness, both nationally and internationally.
The department consists of five sections, and as a commercial officer, you will be an important part of the Governance and Follow-up Section (STYR), which currently consists of an engaged and competent team of six people, which will now grow to eight people.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of commercial officer, you will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with other experts in procurement/purchasing, law, logistics, training, and other operations within the authority.
Your tasks will include, among other things:
- Complex strategic issues, primarily within procurement and purchasing,
- Tasks and investigations at a strategic level, mainly within procurement and purchasing but also in other commercial areas.
- Lead and participate in various work, preparation, or development groups, both internally and externally
- Monitor laws, case law, and regulations relevant to the commercial area to analyze, prepare, and propose changes within the commercial operations
- Develop internal governance routines and regulations for the commercial operations in the Armed Forces
- Be responsible for the department's commercial training within the Armed Forces
- Individually or together with others, analyze and respond to internal or external referrals, staff chief tasks, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Relevant academic degree, preferably with a focus on business law, economics, logistics, or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the Armed Forces.
- Several years of relevant work experience, e.g., strategic procurement and purchasing work according to LOU within a government authority
- Current experience of independently being responsible for investigations
- Current experience of leading workgroups in larger tasks
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing (fluent English and Swedish)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Meritorious
- Current and relevant work experience in strategic procurement/purchasing (preferably according to LUFS), from the Armed Forces' operations or within the defense sector
- Training in strategic procurement, public procurement, business law
Other
The employment is a permanent position. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority. The position is a civilian employment. Individual salary setting applies. Travel in service may occur. Employment degree: 100% full-time. Work location: Stockholm. Start date: As soon as possible and by agreement.
