Summer Job in the Activity Bubble 2026

Do you want to help create a meaningful and active summer for children and youth in Strängnäs municipality? We are now looking for four engaged and responsible summer employees for the Activity Bubble 2026!

The Activity Bubble is a mobile arena filled with activity materials. It visits various residential areas and locations in Strängnäs municipality - you don't have to go to the bubble, the bubble comes to you! The Activity Bubble project belongs to the organization Young in Strängnäs, which works based on activities. Our organization is LGBTQI-certified, which is part of our work to promote equality and inclusion.

The purpose is to create a safe and inclusive environment for children and youth in their own arena, where they can participate in fun activities such as sports and movement, crafts and creativity, or dance and music.

We are now looking for four summer employees who can support the work with the Activity Bubble during our peak season from mid-June to mid-August. The work scope is around 75 - 100% and the shifts will be scheduled during the morning or afternoon/evening, as well as weekends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer employee with us, you are a role model for the children and an important part of creating a safe and positive environment. Together with your team, you will plan, implement, and lead activities and build relationships with the participants.

A work shift may start with loading activity materials together with at least one other colleague, and then traveling to different locations within the municipality. Once on site, it is about creating an inviting and pleasant environment that the youth and children can turn to for activities or conversations. You will receive support in your role from youth coaches from Young in Strängnäs municipality.

Your responsibilities:

• lead and participate in the activities that you and your team plan.
• create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
• build relationships with children and youth through conversations and engagement.
• transport and handle activity materials.
• collaborate with colleagues and maintain good communication with guardians and other adults at the locations you visit.

Furthermore, in your role, you will have some responsibility for marketing the Activity Bubble, so that we can be seen and heard in various forums. It is important for us to reach out, both to children and youth, and to guardians and other adults.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career, who wants to develop and grow in this role. To succeed in the role, we also see that you have:

• previous experience working with or leading children and youth.
• a valid driver's license (B).
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish and also in English, both verbally and in writing.

It is also beneficial if you have:

• an interest in or knowledge of today's youth culture.
• a hobby or interest you would like to share with our visitors.
• leadership training or experience in community organizations.
• experience in planning and implementing activities.
• knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English.
• experience or interest in marketing.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and great emphasis will be placed on these. We are primarily looking for someone who shows interest in working with the target group. You thrive in social settings and find it easy to create and build trusting relationships. You have a positive and responsible attitude, seeing solutions rather than obstacles. Furthermore, you are adaptable and not afraid to take initiative.
