Supervisor for Fritidsbanken in Strängnäs and Mariefred

The Leisure Unit is part of the Technical and Service Office. The unit is responsible for the municipality's sports fields, sports halls, exercise tracks, and bathing areas. The Fritidsbanken is also placed under the Leisure Unit.

The summer internship program in Strängnäs municipality gives our youth (born 2008–2010) a chance to try out one of the many fun professions available within the municipal operations. We want to showcase our broad activities and hope that the summer internship can inspire our youth when they choose a profession in the future.

We are now looking for supervisors for the summer to guide the youth working in the Fritidsbanken stalls located in Strängnäs and Mariefred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will, together with other supervisors, take care of and guide the youth working in the Fritidsbanken stalls in Strängnäs and Mariefred during the summer vacation. The youth's tasks include lending out sports-related products, picking up litter, and keeping order in the surrounding areas. As a supervisor, you may also work in the Fritidsbanken store on Järnvägsgatan in Strängnäs.

The supervisors' task is to ensure that your youth perform the work they are supposed to do. You will also be the link between the youth and other functions in the municipality. In rainy weather, it may also be necessary to organize activities in one of our sports halls.

You will be scheduled Monday to Friday, preferably in the afternoons and early evenings with a 30-minute lunch break.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a completed upper secondary education.
• current experience in supervision and/or working with children/youth.
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• good experience using IT as a support in work, e.g., for documentation.
• a B driver's license and good driving experience. It may be necessary to drive with a trailer.

It is also an advantage if you have:

• previous experience working within Fritidsbanken.
• post-secondary education.
• previous experience as a coach or leader in an association.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is social, has an easy time making new contacts, and enjoys working with youth. You are meticulous, reliable, can work independently, and are willing to take your own initiatives.

For this position, a police record extract must be presented before employment.
