We are now looking for a counselor who wants to contribute to and further develop the student health work at Slottsskolan 7-9 and Marmorbyn School. Slottsskolan is located in the northern part of the central town and has about 240 students. Marmorbyn School is a smaller rural school with around 90 students, located near the municipal border with Katrineholm. The position is divided so that you work approximately 80% at Slottsskolan and 20% at Marmorbyn.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a counselor, you will be a central part of the schools' student health work and an important driving force in the ongoing development work. You will work both health-promoting, preventive, and remedial to create good learning environments and to strengthen students' social and emotional development. The role involves close collaboration with students, guardians, educators, and other staff.

We offer you close collaboration in the student health teams, good opportunities to influence and shape student health work, and continuous support through contact with the central student health services. External supervision is available.

Your work will include holding supportive conversations with students both individually and in groups, contributing social and psychosocial competence in student matters, and participating in the schools' student health and school social teams. You will participate in investigations concerning students in need of special support, collaborate with external actors such as social services and child psychiatric services, and provide support to staff regarding students' social situations and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who wants to help create a safe, positive, and professional working environment. You have a good understanding of what good teamwork means and value collaboration, open communication, and shared responsibility. The role requires you to be independent and able to organize and plan your work in a structured way.

You should have a degree in social work or equivalent education combined with experience from working in educational settings. Additionally, it is appreciated if you have a healthcare license, but this is not a requirement. Experience working with children and youth is advantageous. You have an easy time building trusting relationships, can express yourself clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, and enjoy working both independently and in teams.

You want to be an active part of the development of student health and the schools' safety work in both the short and long term. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Since the position involves dividing your working hours between Slottsskolan 7-9 and Marmorbyn School, a driver's license is required.
