We are now looking for someone who wants to work extra this summer, and who is also willing to continue as a substitute afterwards. Working hours vary between day/evening/night (usually with on-call duty).
Our customers have different assistance needs, so your personal letter will be important when we try to match the assistant to the right customer. We want you to tell us who you are, what your interests and experiences are. Do you have previous experience with assistive devices? Do you have a driver's license and a car? The personal letter contributes to who we choose to move forward with, so take some time on it. Also, include your thoughts on our core values: Participation, Dignity, Accessibility. What do these three words mean to you in your role as a personal assistant?
To fit as a personal assistant, you need to be attentive. You work in another person's home and must respect that. In assistance, you work with the customer, not for the customer. This means, among other things, that you should never leave to run errands for the customer without the customer being present.
Otherwise, we are looking for someone who is:
- Calm and stress-resistant: Customers need an assistant who is calm and does not get agitated. Stress negatively affects customers, so even if a stressful situation arises, it is important that you remain calm.
- Flexible: You can step in at short notice if, for example, a colleague becomes ill, and you can swap shifts if problems arise.
- Responsible: You take responsibility for your shifts, keep track of the schedule, and arrive on time. You are informed about your work shifts based on existing documentation so you know if something important has happened that may affect the customer and your workday. At the workplace, you are present and do not engage in personal matters on your phone.
- Communicative: You must be clear and calm in your communication, speak good Swedish so that customers understand. We have customers with hearing impairments, and this is even more important.
