Your assignment

As a primary school teacher in wood and metal crafts at Stenbergaskolan, you will be responsible for teaching crafts. You will plan and conduct inspiring lessons where students can develop their creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The teaching is designed based on governing documents and takes into account the individual conditions and needs of the students. You will create a safe and encouraging environment where all students have the opportunity to discover the joy of creating and working with different materials. Collaboration with colleagues and active participation in the school's development work is a natural part of the position.

Workplace description

Stenbergaskolan is located in the industrial community of Ljusne at the mouth of the Ljusnan River. We are close to forests, rivers, and the sea. The school area includes Ljusne Preschool, adapted primary school, and primary school grades F-9. The public library and school library share facilities. The two school buildings are from the 1950s and 1970s and have been remodeled several times over the years to adapt to the activities. The primary school has about 300 students distributed across 16 classes and approximately 50 staff members.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is independent and has the ability to take responsibility for their teaching while enjoying teamwork. You work goal- and result-oriented and have a clear leadership style that contributes to structure, order, and a conducive working environment in the crafts room. You build good and trusting relationships with students and colleagues and are committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. Your creativity and structured approach allow you to adapt teaching to each student's needs. A teaching license with qualifications in wood and metal crafts is required for this position.

Personal qualities will be given great importance.
