Dedicated Teacher of Home Economics Wanted at Bergvik School

Do you want to help create an inspiring and developing environment for our students? We are now looking for a dedicated teacher of home economics at Bergvik School.

Your Mission

As a teacher of home economics, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching in the subject for students in grades 6–9. You inspire and guide students in their practical and theoretical development and adapt the teaching based on governing documents and the individual needs of the students. You create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop their skills and interest in food, economics, and sustainable lifestyles. You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's joint development work.

Workplace Description

Bergvik School is located about 20 kilometers from the center of Söderhamn. Here, you are close to forests, Lake Bergviken, and Ljusnan. The school is divided into two units, with students from preschool to grade 6 in one building and students in grades 7–9 in the other. There is a well-equipped library and a student cafeteria. We have a good outdoor environment that encourages physical activity.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is driven by setting goals and working towards clear results, and who sees the opportunities to motivate and engage each student. You have a natural ability to build trusting and secure relationships, both with students and colleagues, contributing to a positive and developing work environment. Your pedagogical commitment allows you to tailor teaching and support so that each student has the opportunity to grow based on their own conditions. With clear leadership, you create structure, focus, and a learning environment where everyone can succeed.

A teaching license with qualifications in home economics is required for the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
