Your Mission

We are looking for a leisure teacher for Rosenvalls School for the school year 26/27.

In the role of leisure teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that the teaching stimulates the students' development and learning by taking into account their needs, interests, and experiences. You ensure that students are offered structured and developmental teaching that connects to their knowledge and experiences from preschool and school, while also looking ahead.

To support students' development and learning, it is important that there is a clear purpose for the activities students encounter in teaching. Key principles in planning activities are student influence and participation. You will also be responsible for the school's recess activities.

About the Workplace

At Rosenvall School, we provide education from preschool to grade 6, as well as in the leisure center. The school is located in Söderala, 7 kilometers from central Söderhamn. Söderala is an ancient agricultural area. Today, it is a residential suburb of Söderhamn, with active small businesses, industries, sheet metal workshops, contract manufacturing, and more. Here you will also find the Ålsjön Nature Reserve with bird towers and ancient forests where spruce and pine approach 200 years old. If you take a tour around Söderala, you will pass impressive Hälsinge farms with beautiful, painted interiors.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in leisure pedagogy/teaching in leisure and a teaching license. We prefer that you have prior experience working in a leisure center.

We believe that this position suits someone who is independent and has the courage to act according to their own convictions. You are proactive, used to initiating activities, working towards set goals, and achieving results in what you do. At the same time, you have the ability to plan, prioritize, and change direction when goals change.

This role is suitable for someone who is a good leader and works well with others, listens, communicates, and resolves any conflicts constructively. Being able to easily create contacts and maintain relationships is important in the work of a teacher. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions, based on this you have the ability to adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient. You can lead and motivate others in a way that achieves common goals and ensures the best interests of the organization in actions and decisions.
