Your Mission

For the school year 26/27, we are looking for a teacher for the after-school program at Mo School.

In the role of after-school teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that students have fun and educational activities based on their interests and needs. You ensure that the teaching is clear and developmental, and that it connects with what the students do in preschool and school.

It is important that students are involved and have influence over what happens in the after-school program. You will also plan and lead the school's break activities.

Workplace Description

Mo School is characterized by a safe, stimulating, and joyful school and learning environment where the goal is for everyone to feel involved and influential. Students from preschool to grade 6 attend here, and the school has a fantastic outdoor environment. There is a large playground, a football field that becomes an ice rink in winter, as well as a basketball court and large grassy areas that encourage physical activity. Mo is an old agricultural community with a large burial field from the Iron Age, and beautiful small lakes such as Bocksjön, Acktjärn, and Igentjärn attract fishing and swimming.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with a degree in leisure pedagogy/teaching in after-school programs and certification. We would prefer that you have previous experience working in after-school programs.

We believe this position suits someone who is independent and has the courage to act according to their own convictions. You are proactive, used to initiating activities, working towards set goals, and achieving results in what you do. At the same time, you have the ability to plan, prioritize, and change direction when goals change.

This role is suitable for you if you are a good leader and work well with others, listen, communicate, and resolve any conflicts constructively. Being able to easily create contacts and maintain relationships is important in the work of a teacher. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions, and based on that, you have the ability to adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient. You can lead and motivate others in such a way that common goals are achieved and that you prioritize the best interests of the organization in your actions and decisions.
