Your Mission

We are now looking for a leisure teacher for the adapted primary school.

The position involves you, together with your colleagues, being responsible for ensuring that the teaching stimulates students' development and learning by starting from the students' needs, interests, and experiences. You ensure that students are offered structured and developmental teaching that connects to their knowledge and experiences from school, while also looking forward. To support students' development and learning, it is important that there is a clear purpose behind the activities students encounter in teaching.

As a leisure teacher, you will support teaching during school hours.

Description of the Workplace

The adapted primary school is located in the industrial community of Ljusne at the mouth of the Ljusnan River. We are close to forests, rivers, and the sea. The school area also includes the primary school grades F-9 and Ljusne preschool. Here, the public library and school library share facilities. The two school buildings are from the 1950s and 1970s and have been remodeled several times over the years to adapt to the operations.

The adapted primary school consists of nine student groups with a total of about 40 students, from grades 1-9. Two of the student groups study subjects, and seven groups focus on subject areas.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree in leisure pedagogy/a teaching degree in leisure homes and a license, as well as previous experience working in leisure homes. It is also qualifying if you have worked in adapted primary schools or with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. We would like you to have knowledge of TAKK and AKK and use/have used it in your work.

To fit into the role of leisure teacher with us at the adapted primary school, you need to be adaptable to changing circumstances. It is important that you work well with others as the staff collaborates and works closely together, both within and between work teams. You can take initiative and start activities, as well as have innovative thinking and come up with ideas for new approaches.

We believe that this role suits you if you are a good leader and work well with others. You listen, communicate, and resolve potential conflicts constructively. Being able to easily create contacts and maintain relationships is important in the job. Furthermore, you can lead and motivate others in a way that achieves common goals and ensures the best interests of the operations in your actions and decisions.
