Job Description

As a laboratory assistant at Peab Asfalt, you will have a unique opportunity to learn the profession from the ground up.

You will be part of an operation responsible for quality assurance of asphalt, gravel, and bitumen. The work is crucial to ensure that the materials meet the right quality, both for internal production and for external customers.

As a person, you should be meticulous, hardworking, have a positive attitude, and possess the ability to build good relationships.

This is a consultancy assignment starting in April and lasting until October, with the possibility of extension.

The position is full-time and usually during the day, between 7 AM and 4 PM, but night work may occur with shifted working hours.

Responsibilities

• The role includes everything from receiving and registering samples to analysis and reporting.
• Conduct ongoing production and quality controls (analyses) of asphalt, aggregates, and bitumen, soil, etc.
• Follow established processes and routines to ensure the highest precision.
• Fieldwork - i.e., going out to take samples and then analyze them.

Qualifications

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Swedish and English in spoken and written form
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Similar work experience or equivalent experience from a laboratory environment
• Experience from warehousing or as a CNC operator
• Technical education or interest in technology
