A Smart and Meaningful Choice

Do you enjoy working closely with operations, being part of a team, and engaging in production development within mass manufacturing? Do you want a role with many points of contact and work in an area where the pace of change is high and you can make an impact? Then this role as a production engineer at our pulp mill could be right for you!

Your Next Workplace

At Bravikens Paper Mill outside Norrköping, we use the Swedish forest as raw material to create renewable and innovative paper products that become books, magazines, and packaging worldwide. Here, you will always have close access to knowledgeable and engaged colleagues. The desire to do a good job and contribute to a greener future is evident. We employ nearly 400 people, and our mill is located by the beautiful shores of Bråviken outside Norrköping.

As the current production engineer has chosen to pursue other challenges, we are now looking for a new colleague to join our team.

Your Future Challenge

As a Production Engineer at our pulp mill, you will work to improve and optimize availability, plant utilization, and quality. Through collaboration and problem-solving, you will ensure that our processes function as well as possible.

Examples of tasks include:

  • Process optimization
  • Participating in project and development activities
  • Coordinating maintenance stops
  • Root cause analysis and improvement work

You will work closely with other section management, operators, the maintenance department, and the development department. You will report to the section manager for TMP/Wood/EoM.

As a production engineer, you will work on both short-term and long-term improvement projects while also being involved in daily operations and problem-solving at the pulp mill. This is a role that involves engineering work with many points of contact, meaning a role that requires both collaboration and analysis/problem-solving.

To Succeed in the Role

We want you to have deep knowledge of the paper and pulp industry as well as extensive experience working in the field, though not necessarily as an engineer. Experience in mass production is a plus. It is also advantageous if you have experience leading others and have worked with improvement initiatives.

To succeed as a production engineer, you need at least a high school education. An engineering degree in paper technology, mechanics, chemistry, or automation is advantageous.

As a person, you are good at listening and trying to find long-term solutions. You have the ability to see what needs to be done and structure your work to drive your processes forward, and you have a strong interest in development and improvement work. Leading meetings and project groups is part of your daily routine, so it is important that you lead, motivate, and delegate responsibility to achieve common goals.

The role involves many points of contact both within and outside the company, so to thrive, it is important that you are good at collaborating and communicating. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have a basic knowledge of English. A prerequisite for enjoying this role is that you like change.

We Offer You

With us, you get the best of both worlds. At Bravikens Paper Mill, we work in a non-hierarchical organization with fast decision-making processes and short distances from idea to implementation. While we are small enough for you to make an impact, we also have the strength of a corporation with the resources to implement development and change. You will join during an exciting period in the company as we will be undertaking renovations and investments at the mill in 2024.

At Holmen, we value internal mobility because we know that when you grow, Holmen grows! We offer you a challenging and responsible role with great development opportunities in an international and thriving organization. We have an open and welcoming atmosphere that is permeated by our values of courage, commitment, and responsibility.

For us, it is important that you enjoy your job and become part of an open and welcoming community. To help you settle into your role, we will place great emphasis on your introduction.
