About the Role

We are looking for a Network Technician to cover a parental leave. The Network Technician in the unit will have the following responsibilities and tasks:

Be part of:

• developing new capabilities/functions,
• ensuring the operational management of SVK's data communication regarding network infrastructure, routing/switching environments, to and in the offices (NIS), and
• in collaboration with management, realizing the management plan.

The infrastructure specialist has the authority to coordinate and organize decided management activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Incident & Problem Management - Analyze and resolve problems and incidents and assist in the development of instructions for e.g. incident management. This is done in close collaboration with the 24/7 system monitoring function within the same unit.
• Specialist - Act as a specialist and be the primary contact for system-specific questions, as well as providing general support and assistance to other systems, operations, and external parties.
• Implement Changes - Manage orders according to applicable processes and implement changes in the systems in accordance with Svenska kraftnät's IT change process. Maintain and carry out necessary upgrades.
• Specification - Assist in technical requirement specification and the development of new technical solution proposals as well as assist in technical requirement specification and the development of technical solution proposals for new or further development of systems and/or IT services.
• Testing - Contribute to various tests e.g. functional tests during troubleshooting, or further development of systems, applications, and IT services.
• Documentation - Work with the team to ensure good management documentation such as network diagrams, system documentation, and operational routines.
• IT Security - Work on IT security issues to ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and availability, according to requirements from the IT security department on data communication management's IT service delivery.

Competence Requirements

• At least one of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
• At least 2 years of work experience in the last 5 years as a network technician, working in a medium to large network environment, with at least 5000 users and at least 10 sites.
• At least 2 years of work experience in high availability environments.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Value-Added Requirements:

• At least 2 of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or similar.
• At least 2 years of experience in network automation. Ansible, Python, Catalystcenter, or equivalent tools.
• At least 1 year of practical experience in lifecycle management of central infrastructure.
• At least 1 year of experience working with systems for classified or security-sensitive information.

Assignment Information

Assignment Period: 20/4 2026 - 30/4 2027

Extension Option: 1+1 year

Scope: 100%

Location: Svenska kraftnät's office in Sundbyberg. Remote work may occur up to 40% of the working time.

Security Clearance: Security clearance and background check are required.
