At the Education Administration in Järfälla Municipality, approximately 2,500 employees currently work in one of our 22 schools, 39 preschools, and at the central administration. Herrestaskolan is a multicultural F-6 school with about 400 students. Herrestaskolan is centrally located in the newly built Barkarbystaden in Järfälla. The building is environmentally certified, entirely made of wood, and has an inviting schoolyard. The school includes preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school care, and leisure club. We are a medium-sized unit that is therefore in recurring need of substitutes who can step in at short notice to replace regular staff during absences.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute teacher:

• Step in at short notice to replace regular teachers
• Follow instructions and lesson plans from regular staff - but also be prepared to improvise in cases where there is no planning
• Write a brief report to the regular teacher at the end of the day
• Lead and organize work in the classroom
• Collaborate with other teachers and educators in the work team

As a substitute in after-school care:

• Step in at short notice to replace regular after-school educators
• Collaborate with the teaching teacher in the class during the school day
• Lead and organize work in after-school care together with regular staff
• Collaborate with other after-school educators

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for hourly substitutes for all grade levels in the school. We are seeking substitute teachers and after-school substitutes. As an applicant, you are expected to be genuinely interested in working with children and students. A requirement is that you master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

Meritorious are:

• If you have a pedagogical education at the high school or university level
• Studying to become a teacher or in another educational, social field
• Have experience in similar work
