Welcome to develop with us
As a personal assistant, you will work closely with the service user, their relatives, and colleagues in a home environment.

You will play an important role in providing support to a person with disabilities in their daily life, enabling them to live as independently and actively as possible.

We are currently looking for two dedicated women who want to work on an as-needed basis with one of our male service users.

Your mission
As a part-time employee, you will replace regular staff during their absence. You will be the service user's extended arms and legs, assisting with the support needed to provide them with a safe environment, meaningful leisure time, and a good life.

Your tasks will include providing support and assistance during all moments of the day, such as during transfers, dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, meal situations, medication delegation, and other everyday household chores like cleaning and laundry. You will also accompany and assist with various visits and activities outside the home.

The work is performed as a sole assistant, which means you must feel comfortable working independently. The service user is fully paralyzed but has fully functional speech and communication. Assistive devices are available to facilitate your work. You will work either day shifts or night shifts with awake duty as needed.

What we are looking for in you
- Relevant education, e.g., through a health and care program or other training deemed equivalent by us.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a personal assistant.
- Knowledge of working with and responding to individuals with challenging behaviors.
- Previous experience and knowledge of working with and responding to individuals with dementia.
- Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as computer skills due to our documentation responsibilities.
- You should be comfortable working alone and able to work both day and night shifts with awake duty as needed.

As a person, you are calm and confident in yourself and your professional role. You have a strong character, a twinkle in your eye, and a touch of humor. You are used to working independently, are attentive to the individual's needs, and build relationships with both service users, relatives, and colleagues. With your extensive experience, you have gained an understanding of the importance of staying calm in challenging situations.
