What We Do and Want

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a support assistant with us.

We work on a rolling schedule with shifts during the day, evening, sleeping on-call, and we work every other weekend.

The group home has 6 apartments, common areas, and staff rooms. The villa is newly built and is located near Bansjön in a quiet and scenic environment. The operation is run by the municipality.

About the Position

All users have their own individual implementation, communication, support, and method plans that we work from. The interventions concern all aspects of these individuals' lives. Everything from supporting personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, personal shopping, leisure activities, and vacation planning. In short, everything that occurs in a home and everything that occurs in a person's life. We always start from the individual themselves and what they wish for the day, the week, or generally in life and adapt accordingly.

Every day we document important information and deviations from their implementation plan. Based on the needs and wishes of the residents, we collaborate with many different parties, such as relatives, legal representatives, daily activities, assistance officers, habilitation/occupational therapists, nurses/healthcare, etc.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. A probationary period may apply.

Start date in February or according to agreement.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical education, leisure experience with children/youth, care/nursing education, or equivalent according to the National Board of Health and Welfare (SOSFS 2014:2).

You preferably have a theoretical focus on special education.

You also have experience working within LSS and feel secure in your professional role.

In addition, you have:

• at least 1 year of documented experience providing support to individuals with challenging and problem-causing behavior, and are comfortable working with these users
• documented experience with cognitive aids
• documented experience with documentation and some administrative work
• documented experience with AAC
• good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who can work with and follow structured and individual support plans. You are engaged and confident in your competence and professional role within LSS. You take responsibility for the user's, your own, and the workplace's development and are a good educator with ease in collaborating and communicating with various stakeholders, users, and colleagues. You can make correct decisions within the framework of your professional authority. We strive for a balanced gender distribution.
