With us at Social Services - Financial Assistance, you truly make a difference. We work to assess the right to financial assistance and help people take the next step towards self-sufficiency – a mission that requires professionalism, commitment, and attentiveness. We are about 190 employees divided into a reception unit, six investigation units, a coordination unit for work, administration and service, and operational support.

We care about ensuring you feel secure in your role. Therefore, you will receive thorough onboarding, access to experienced colleagues to consult with, and regular supervision. You have the opportunity to work from home two days a week if and when the tasks allow it.

The Financial Assistance Unit 6 is a unit where we work with individuals who have some form of ill health, and where contact with health care is what drives the work forward. The unit consists of social workers, qualified caseworkers, SIP coordinators, team leaders, and a unit manager.

Job Description

Your tasks include supporting individuals to achieve self-sufficiency while assessing and determining the right to financial assistance. We work in an engaged and unpretentious team where we help each other, share our knowledge, and support one another. Our workdays are varied and involve a lot of contact with both individuals in need of financial assistance and other authorities, health care, and the municipality's labor market department. We place great emphasis on client-centered work and co-planning with health care.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position. The work requires that you have good oral and written skills in Swedish as well as a good understanding of the Social Services Act. To succeed in the role, you need to have experience in financial assistance or other public authority work. Training in MI is considered an asset.

As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks and structure your approach independently while driving your processes forward. You remain motivated and efficient despite setbacks and disappointments. You work until the project is completed or results are achieved. Furthermore, you have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings. We also see that you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, as well as having the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Additionally, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines.
