About the workplace

Do you want to work in one of our LSS group homes? If you have relevant experience and/or education in the LSS field, you are welcome to apply.

The group homes in Håbo municipality provide individualized support for adults according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. Residents in group and service homes have their own apartments and access to communal areas.

Our goal is for those living in Håbo municipality to be able to live as independently, freely, and actively as possible. For individual safety, staff support is available around the clock.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for you who are at least 18 years old and want to support people with various physical and mental disabilities in their homes. We hope that you are genuinely interested in working with people and helping them succeed in achieving their goals. You always have the user in focus.

You need to be responsible, attentive, and have a good attitude. It is also important to be flexible and adapt to the user's needs while being meticulous and confident in following the user's routines.

You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

Your tasks

The work as a summer substitute in LSS homes involves ensuring that users receive the support and assistance they are entitled to through approved decisions. Our users need varying degrees of support for their daily lives to function safely and well. Your tasks include performing support and care measures based on implementation plans. You may also perform health and medical tasks after delegation and be responsible for documentation in daily work. It is important to provide individually tailored care, create structure, and at the same time encourage and support them in developing their personal interests. The work is based on the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The position can be physically demanding and includes several practical tasks. Working hours vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, nights, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in elderly care, personal assistance, and LSS housing. But above all, we are looking for someone with the right heart who is open and willing to learn the job.

Delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff will be part of your work, where good computer skills are required as we document in our operational system.

As the work is based on communication, documentation, and building trust in personal relationships, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Personal qualities are highly valued.

The work is performed during the day, evening, and weekend. Sleeping on-call is part of the job.
