The obstetrics and gynecology area operates at Örebro University Hospital, Lindesberg, and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's health care. At Örebro University Hospital, there is an obstetric section with specialist maternity care and fetal diagnostics, a delivery ward, and postnatal care. The gynecological section provides outpatient, inpatient, and emergency gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating department.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the three acute hospitals in the county where we provide advanced medical care, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality and had the best results in accessibility, economy, and in avoiding pressure sores and overcrowding. USÖ also tops the results in areas such as cardiology, kidney failure, and vascular surgery. USÖ has approximately 3,500 employees. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at USÖ offers both emergency and planned outpatient care. Here, we investigate and treat patients with gynecological diseases while providing care and support to women with pregnancy-related issues up to and including pregnancy week 22+0. As a nursing assistant with us, you will have a varied and responsible job. Your tasks may include:

• assisting with gynecological examinations and treatments
• sample collection and sample handling
• reception work such as patient preparations, appointment booking, and documentation
• contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for our patients

We have a strong and supportive workgroup where collegial support is a natural part of our work environment. Additionally, we work closely with other professional groups, contributing to good collaboration and a holistic view of patients' needs.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, but some evening shifts at our gynecology emergency clinic may occur.

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure.
