Personal Assistant Needed for Teenager in Karlstad

We are currently looking for someone to work extra as needed during the spring and on a schedule during the summer as a personal assistant for a teenager with extensive care needs.

About the Assignment

You will work closely with a cheerful, social, and organized teenager who lives with his family in Karlstad. He enjoys music and movies and appreciates when things happen around him. Creativity, presence, and attentiveness are highly valued traits in this role.

Due to his disability, he requires constant supervision and support around the clock. The tasks include personal care as well as medical interventions such as:

• Transfers
• Medication management
• Tube feeding
• Inhalations
• Standing frame
• Orthoses

The work takes place both at home, in school, and during various leisure activities. His condition varies from day to day, which means you need to be flexible and able to adapt the work according to current needs.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in personal assistance or work in healthcare and social services
• Is reliable, stable, and responsible
• Has good teamwork skills and enjoys working in a team
• Is attentive, flexible, and proactive
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Since the job involves close collaboration with the family, school, and healthcare staff, it is important that you are communicative and can understand instructions both verbally and in writing. We prefer that you have some life experience and personal maturity that creates security and stability in the assignment.

You also need to:

• Be smoke-free
• Not be allergic to dogs (a dog is present in the home)
• Be able to work varying hours (day, evening, night - weekdays and weekends)
