The Västerbotten Police Area is one of the police areas in the North region and operates throughout Västerbotten County. The geographical area spans over 15 municipalities.
The Västerbotten Police Area is divided into three local police areas: Umeå, Southern Lapland, and Skellefteå. At the police area level, there is an investigation section and a police area administration.
The local police area Skellefteå is part of the Västerbotten Police Area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The assignment as group manager for BF-IGV. As the manager for BF-IGV, you report to the local police area manager and are part of the local police area's management team, where you collectively are responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's operations and its results. Other tasks may occur depending on the needs of the operations. As a group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen confidence in police operations.

As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project manager, or similar
- experience participating in change and development work
- experience in the relevant operational area
- Police education, Police according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on education for police officers
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- experience leading others towards set goals and results
- participated in management forums
- experience of the police organization's operations
- management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels
- experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization

As part of the selection process, tests will also be used.
