Summer Job with Umeå Region Fire Department

The Umeå Region Fire Department works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln, and Robertsfors.

The fire department has a full-time station in central Umeå with about 90 employees and nine RiB stations with approximately 150 firefighters on standby, as well as two fire brigades.

We are currently in an exciting development phase where we hope to become a clearer actor in society, not only regarding rescue operations and fire prevention but also to create safety in other ways. Therefore, we are looking for someone interested in being part of this development work during the summer of 2026!

In addition to interesting tasks, you will also be part of an organization with high ambitions and a strong community. Together, we fulfill a crucial societal function and create a safer future for our residents.

Your Tasks

You will primarily work with the fire department's activities focused on children and youth in Umeå municipality. During the summer of 2026, the focus will be on activities at Umeå Summer Zone during weeks 25 & 26 and 31 & 32.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting other people and wants to be part of creating added value for children and youth in Umeå municipality.

To be eligible to apply for the summer job, you must have completed the MBU course – The Person Behind the Uniform within Umeå municipality. We view it positively if you are an MBU ambassador, but it is not a requirement. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as a valid extract from the criminal record.

Employment Information

The summer job is temporary, lasting about 1 month and 5 hours per day. Start date and duration of the summer job will be agreed upon.
