ABOUT THE JOB

The role of an airport security officer involves welcoming and safely screening passengers, staff, and luggage to prevent violations of civil aviation. Accuracy, good service, and a positive attitude are important keywords in this position where you, as security personnel, meet many people. As an airport security officer, you work closely with colleagues in the team, and therefore we place great importance on you also being a good team player with high collaboration skills.

Working hours vary with early mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and since the operation runs every day of the year, you must be able to work weekends and public holidays. A rolling schedule is applied on weekends/holidays and during the summer. The shifts are generally short, making this a job that can be easily combined with other part-time work.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and meticulous, with a good demeanor and a positive attitude. To thrive in this role, you need to be attentive and understand the needs of the operation, and be able to handle different situations in a methodical and calm manner with a focus on safety. Since the work is largely team-based, you need to have good social skills and the ability to collaborate. You also need to have the ability to work independently with personal aviation security responsibility.

We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Swedish and English. Working as an airport security officer involves some training, which you need to be able to participate in; any training and practice will take place over one or two weeks at another location. The employment begins with mandatory paid training. After completing and passing the training, you will have the opportunity to start working.

Requirements

• Swedish citizenship
• Must be without a criminal record and of good character
• Must be able to communicate well in Swedish and English
• Must have good health and physical fitness
• Must have a passing grade in Swedish and English at the high school level or equivalent
• You must have normal color vision and good hearing.

Experience from airport work is an advantage, as is experience as security personnel at an airport such as airport security officer, security inspector, or security guard.

The airport is classified as a security-sensitive area and a civil protection object, therefore you need to be prepared to undergo a security clearance and background check, as well as present an extract from the criminal record according to the Security Protection Act.
