Lawyer to the Legal Department at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Legal Department is a national department at the headquarters of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The department is responsible for directing and driving the authority's work in legal matters, providing legal support at all levels of the authority, submitting opinions to various review bodies, making initial and reconsideration decisions in client cases, representing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in legal processes, and handling compensation and reimbursement cases that do not fall under other jurisdictions. Additionally, the department is responsible for the authority's advisory national legal preparedness.
The Client Law Unit fulfills the Legal Department's responsibilities within the client legal area. The unit's sections for general client law are now seeking a lawyer to be based at the regional office in Malmö. The Legal Department applies the possibility of signing remote work agreements, which means that up to 60% of the work can be done from home.
