Your Responsibilities
The position is located at the National Unit against International and Organized Crime, based in Malmö.
As a qualified case officer, you will encounter a dynamic workday with varied tasks. You will work independently but also collaboratively in a team to ensure the administrative work runs smoothly. Service is a significant part of your daily work, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- providing administrative support to prosecutors, e.g., working in the criminal case diary, managing archiving, and performing general office tasks
- controlling, assessing, and registering incoming cases
- being the outward contact in many contexts and thus providing good service to both the public and other authorities – primarily via phone and email
- performing tasks assigned by the administrative manager
- preparing cases
- taking particular responsibility for the chamber's administrative operations
- mentoring and being a conversation partner for colleagues
- communicating verbally and in writing in English.
Case management and archiving are conducted electronically in our IT system.
The workday is event-driven, and urgent matters may arise quickly, requiring you to make swift decisions and assess what is urgent or not.
Your Qualities and Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
- has a high school diploma or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- has skills corresponding to several years of well-documented work with administrative tasks that the Prosecutor's Office considers relevant
- has experience working in an IT environment and with digital tools within administration, telephony, meetings, etc.
- has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- has good knowledge of English in speech and writing
You should also
- be meticulous, structured, and follow the guidelines and routines in place
- be independent and responsible
- be resilient as the workload can be high at times
- be stable and have good self-awareness
- find it easy to collaborate and have an open attitude towards your surroundings
- be service-oriented
- have good communication skills.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
It is advantageous to have
- experience working within the judiciary
- post-secondary education, e.g., in economics or law
About the Employment
Due to the nature of the tasks, the work will primarily be office-based.
The employment is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
Tests may occur in the recruitment process.
The position is classified for security purposes, and thus a security clearance with a background check will be conducted.
The Prosecutor's Office is a preparedness authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to the Prosecutor's Office in case of war. Read more under Work with us.
