Pajala municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the northern lights and midnight sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a study counselor in the mother tongue Dinka, you will:

• Provide support and guidance to students with Dinka as their mother tongue in their subject studies in Swedish.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instruction and ensure that students understand and can benefit from the teaching materials.
• Assist with translation and explanation of learning materials in the mother tongue.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with parents and other stakeholders to support students' development.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Good knowledge of Dinka and Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience working with children and youth, preferably in schools or education.
• Pedagogical insight and understanding of different students' needs, and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple way.
• The ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• The ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexibility, patience, and a solution-oriented mindset.
