Choir Director Wanted for Autumn 2026 for a Musical Choir in Luleå.

About the Position:

Hello!

We are looking for a cheerful and engaged choir director for a Musical Choir in Luleå.

The choir is open to everyone, with no auditions required, and is aimed at adults who want to sing and share their passion with others.

Songs are already prepared with vocal parts, recordings, lyrics, sheet music, etc., allowing you to focus solely on taking care of the members on-site without worrying about preparations.

You love working with people and are driven by helping individuals dare more and believe in themselves. You believe that singing can be a path to well-being and are happy to support people where they are in their vocal development. You believe in the power of choral singing and its ability to bring people together.

We believe you always come with a smile and know that when you engage with the students, this might be the best moment of their entire week. We believe you understand the importance of not getting stuck on individual vocal parts but instead letting the joy of singing flow in the room.

You have a qualification as a vocal pedagogue or equivalent.

Who are we?

For 10 years, VocalLife has led various types of singing activities, primarily in Lund but also in cities across Sweden, such as Malmö, Jönköping, Örebro, Norrköping, Helsingborg, and more. We love uniting people through song.

We know that when people sing together, we create a better and healthier society that benefits both the singers and those around them.

Furthermore, in an increasingly digital world, places that unite people are among the most important things that exist.

We love helping people grow through the community of song.

Compensation and Future:

We prefer that you have your own business and can invoice us, but we can also create a temporary position based on hours if that suits you better.

If you wish to lead several choirs in your local area, this can also be an opportunity.

We hope for a long-term collaboration. Therefore, for those who wish, we want to create the possibility in the future to change our agreement to a permanent position, potentially adding vocal lessons, vocal ensembles, group singing, etc., in your local area if of interest. This is something we will discuss based on your wishes and our possibilities to find solutions together.

The position currently involves a few hours per week. We prefer that you have another job alongside this as your primary source of income.
