Your Responsibilities

You will teach Grade 1, which will have 26 students next year, together with a colleague who is a licensed lower secondary school teacher and a teacher in the after-school care program.

This year, your colleague has these students in preschool class. You will keep the class together and divide the class for different subjects.

We have excellent study conditions throughout the school, and students appreciate that they feel well at our school and learn a lot. For several years, we have worked on accessible learning environments both at school and in the after-school care program.

The school has many generous spaces to use in teaching and is situated in a beautiful natural setting with its own school forest, Emmaskogen.

We have close cooperation with the school's student health services, and we highly value promoting and preventive work. We are very proud of our school, which has high goal achievement, where common rules make students feel safe. The best interests of the students are at the center.

We Are Looking For

You are a licensed teacher for lower secondary school; it is no hindrance if you also have qualifications for middle school as the number of students varies over the years. You have extensive experience in reading and writing instruction and have achieved good results with the students you have taught.

You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom and have the ability to read situations and meet students' different needs, where you purposefully lead the younger students' development towards the goals. You see yourself as the tool and adapt your teaching to the student's needs.

In the classroom, you create structure, study conditions, and can build good relationships with the students.

You have the ability to collaborate closely with a colleague in the classroom and with the work team where you are jointly responsible for the students' learning and social development. You can also take your own initiatives and are flexible when required.

You are genuinely interested in developing teaching and operations together with the principal and colleagues at the school. You see the strength in the work team and contribute to joint development and collegial learning.

Experience working with students in need of support is an asset. At the school, teachers use PAX as positive behavior support, which is an advantage if you have experience with it.
