What the position entails

You will work as a teacher in the General Course, teaching adult students mathematics, primarily at the upper secondary level. We have students both on-site and remotely, so the role includes conducting lessons in the school's facilities as well as remote lessons via computer with students at other locations across the country.

Qualifications

Education in mathematics, pedagogical experience, and a habit of teaching. Experience of working at a folk high school is an asset. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Scope

We are looking for 50% and upwards. The applicant's preferences and qualifications may determine the scope. Älvsby folk high school is also seeking a mathematics teacher at 50%. For applicants seeking a 100% position, it may be possible to combine these two roles.

Working hours

The position involves on-site work at Framnäs folk high school two to three weekdays per week, with the possibility of working remotely from another location for half a day per week.

Framnäs folk high school

The school was founded in 1952 and is run by a foundation from organizations within the labor movement as well as Piteå municipality. In addition to the general course, the course offering includes a wide range of courses in music and art, as well as courses in gardening, cultivation, and nature.
