Lappland Learning Center is the joint operation for adult education and higher education units in Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will teach adult students in Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and will be part of a team with our other SFI teachers. The assignment may also include evening teaching and work in the Study Corner.
- Teach Swedish for immigrants
- Teach basic computer skills
- Teach labor market knowledge
- Other relevant tasks may be included in the position
- NOTE! The position is on-site at our learning center - not a remote position
QUALIFICATIONS
- You are a certified SFI teacher.
- Possibility for certified teachers in subjects other than SFI to supplement their existing teacher training with at least 30 higher education credits in the subject of Swedish as a second language.
- It is an advantage if you have a teaching license for adult education.
- You are familiar with digital tools both in teaching and for documentation, and you utilize digital aids in your pedagogical assignment.
- You are expected to build relationships with both students and colleagues, and we assume that you find it easy to collaborate with others and have a positive view of students.
- You have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also contributing to a positive work climate by offering support to colleagues and being open to receiving help when needed.
- We expect you to be flexible, have a strong sense of responsibility, and be driven and engaged.
